This year’s Liverpool Biennial opens on the 15 September (http://www.biennial.com/). After New York architects Diller Scofidio + Renfro completed the Arbores Laetae (Joyful Trees) in 2008 artist Fritz Haeg is collaborating with Field Operations to transform Everton People’s Park . James Corner, a landscape architects and founder of Field Operations, said: “I agreed to do this project because Liverpool is cool – there are hundreds of years of history here, it is part of the Biennial and will be sustainable.” Corner was born nearby in Preston and now lives in New York City.
